Welcome to the world of Modern Vaquero Horsemanship, dedicated to honoring and continuing traditional Vaquero horsemanship.
Jeff Sanders Modern Vaquero Horsemanship programs incorporate all the old world traditions that have served horses and riders since the times of the medieval knights of Europe. The same traditions and horsemen expanded through Spain into the North American continent, California, Texas and other territories that would become the western states, and eventually evolved into what we think of today as the classic American Cowboy. In essence, it is the horsemanship that served the Crown and won the west.
